A Mother Humiliated by the Priest on Her baby's baptism

A video of a priest humiliating an unwed mother during her baby's baptism has been circulating online, after the baby's grandmother uploaded it on her Facebook account Sunday.Jieve Daitol Frias, the baby's grandmother, uploaded a video showing Fr. Romeo Ubach of the Sacred Heart Chaplaincy in Eversely Child Sanitarium in Cebu talking to the 17-year-old mother during her baby's baptism.

Speaking in Cebuano, the priest asked the young mother whether she was ashamed that she had a baby with a man who was not her husband.
The priest then went on to say that while the baby had not sinned, her mother did, after she slept with a man who was not her husband.

Ubach also warned the mother that the consequences of her actions may be passed on to her child, as her child was born due to sin.

The video has been shared 10,697 times as of this story's posting. In the comments section of the post, many viewers said that the priest did not have the right to insult the young woman.

Frias, in a separate post, thanked all those who shared her video. She expressed disappointment in the ceremony, as they did not expect to be humiliated during the baptism.

She also said that as a priest, Ubach should have given her daughter advice instead of humiliating her.

Mo Twister isn't done yet on  'nigga' posts of Jinggoy's son

Mo Twister isn't done yet.

In what he dubbed a "continuing saga," the controversial DJ, whose real name is Mohan Gumatay, took to Instagram to post several screenshots of tweets supposedly from showbiz newcomer Julian Estrada using the term "nigga."

Last week, Gumatay controversially engaged Julian and sister Janella, both children of Sen. Jinggoy Estrada with wife Precy Vitug, in a heated argument on Twitter over the supposed "lavish lifestyle" of another Estrada sibling, Jolo, and the alleged involvement of the lawmaker in the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam.
On Sunday, Gumatay once again criticized Julian, this time over his alleged habitual use of "nigga" or "nigger" -- a contemptuous term for a black or dark-skinned person -- on his Twitter timeline.

"In my continuing saga of trying to teach an Ejercito how to behave in public, I have noticed that you, @julestrada, have used the term 'nigga' on your social media account 5 times in the past month. That's about 5 times too many," Gumatay said in the caption of his Instagram post.

In his earlier argument with Julian and Janella, who is a councilor in San Juan, Gumatay sought to "educate" them on Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, saying this applies to them in relation to Jolo's supposed flaunting of his lifestyle.

Gumatay, at the time, was referring to a viral photo of Julian and Jolo taken inside what appears to be a private jet. The controversial photo was only a part of a blog post detailing Jolo's alleged luxury in pictures.

The blog post, which also showed a photo of a diplomatic passport supposedly under Jolo's name, made the rounds online after Sen. Estrada's surrender and subsequent detention at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center last month.

In his Instagram post addressing Julian, Gumatay referred anew to Sen. Estrada being tagged in the pork barrel scam, as well as the 2007 plunder conviction and subsequent pardon of former president and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada.

"As the son of a corrupt Senator and grandson of a convicted felon President, I strongly encourage you to educate yourself in its (nigger) meaning, to open your senses about its effects, and to remind yourself of your place in this world, wherein using such a word as liberally as you do can result in a broken nose or worse, and we wouldn't want to get blood on your lovely white LV shoes.

"It is incredibly racist to millions of people. Not that I'm trying to save the world here but I just don't want a presidential grandson to represent our country in that manner, you poser f***. #HarshTag," Gumatay said.

As of writing, Julian had yet to respond to Gumatay's statement, although the 18-year-old's Twitter timeline was active several hours after the DJ published his post.

Raymart Santiago broke his silence about photo with Claudine and kids

Raymart Santiago finally broke his silence as he opened up on his meeting with estranged wife Claudine Barretto and their two children, Santino and Sabina, which was captured in a viral photo.

Last week, the actress posted on Instagram photos of the four of them posing inside what appears to be a restaurant. "Happy day," she said in one caption. In an interview with “The Buzz” on Tuesday, Santiago said he agreed to have the picture taken because it was their children who requested for it.

“'Yun 'yung oras ko sa mga anak ko. Sumunod na lang siya nung dinner at nag-request lang 'yung mga anak ko na magpa-picture kami. Hanggang doon na lang muna. Masaya ako,” he said.
Barretto, for her part, said she is happy about the breakthrough as well because their family became complete again, albeit temporarily.

“Masaya ako dahil kumpleto yung pamilya. Siyempre when my children are happy, wala namang mas ikatutuwa pa ng isang magulang kundi makita ang mga anak nilang masaya. Para sa akin, 'yun ang pinaka-ultimate happiness ko,” she said.

Two weeks since the couple was ordered by a Marikina court to face each other as part of a judicial dispute resolution, both Barretto and Santiago said they are open to becoming friends again in time.

“Hindi malayo,” Santiago briefly said.

“We failed as a couple already. Let’s not fail as parents. Sinabi ko kay Raymart, karirin na natin ang pagiging magulang. Yung forgiveness hindi pa. Mahirap mag-forgive kapag wala pang sorry. Pero siyempre gusto ko mawala yung kung ano mang galit and sama ng loob na meron pa,” Barretto said.

While things seem headed towards the right direction for the celebrity couple, is Barretto also open to reconciling with sisters Marjorie and Gretchen?
“Definitely not. Not in the near future if ever,” she said.

Strong words of Boy Abunda on Jane Oineza's “attitude problem”

Strong words of Boy Abunda  on Jane Oineza's “attitude problem”

“Kung wala si Jane, there is no story.”

These were the strong words of Boy Abunda as he spoke up on the supposed “attitude problem” of celebrity housemate Jane Oineza inside the “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) house.

During the Sunday episode of “The Buzz,” Abunda and his co-hosts Toni Gonzaga and Kris Aquino sat with evicted "PBB" housemates Aina Solano, Michele Gumabao and Jayme Jalandoni as they all talked about why the other housemates don't seem to like Oineza.Abunda's theory is that the other housemates probably expect her to be like them.
“I’ll take a different tact. Baka naman you guys expected her to be like you. What if this is just a young girl growing up, committing her mistakes and eventually becoming better? Kasi I’ll be very frank, kung wala si Jane, ang boring sa loob. Kung wala si Jane, there is no story,” he said.

Abunda also noted that "PBB" is not a convent where only nice people should be inside.

“Let’s remember, ang PBB ba ay bahay ng mga anghel, bahay ng mga pinakamababait? I’m provoking a discussion. Hindi naman ito kumbento. I have nothing against sisters but baka naman ang ating pananaw, masyado nating hinuhulma doon na she has to be like us for her to be good. Baka naman ang mga ibang housemates ang hindi totoo at si Jane lang ang totoo,” he said.

Saying there should be strength in diversity, Abunda said he still respects the opinions of the other housemates about Oineza.

“What you have control and what I respect is your reaction towards her because that’s yours. But you’re trying to do a commentary on who she is using the prism of what is good according to you. Para sa akin, hindi, kasi ang bahay ni Kuya hindi naman ito langit,” he said.

Since Sunday afternoon, “Tito Boy” has been one of the most talked about topics on Twitter in the Philippines.

Mayor Herbert "Bistek" Bautista  said that He Loved Kris

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista was placed on the hot seat on Friday regarding the real story behind his relationship with television host and actress Kris Aquino.

On last night's Bandila, Bautista was asked a series of questions on the topic during the show's "Yes or No" segment and why the relationship abruptly came to an end last April.Bautista was first grilled on whether the two were ever in a relationship.

He quickly answered yes but was clearly taken aback when host Karen Davila followed up with: "Mahal mo ba si Kris Aquino?"

The city mayor first laughed off the question and quipped that he will let the segment's allotted time to run out before answering yes or no.

But after seeing that the hosts were adamant in waiting for an answer, Bautista replied: "Oo."

The former actor was then prodded further on whether he would like to get back together with the actress or if he would ever court Aquino again, to which he answered "no" to both.

Bautista was also asked to explain on why the relationship ended, just roughly a week after Aquino confirmed being 'partners' with the city mayor.

"Yung mga anak ko siyempre. I love my children," he said.

Bautista has two children--Athena (18) and Harvey (10)--with long-time girlfriend Tates Gana.

It was earlier reported by entertainment writer Ricky Lo that Bautista's two kids were affected that their father was dating Aquino.

Lo also wrote that the kids thought of going abroad with their mother in relation to the issue.

Citing an unnamed source, Lo also said that Gana and Bausista "haven’t really broken up" during the time the news of the mayor's new relationship broke.

Kris reacts
Aquino, moments after the live interview ended, posted a rather cryptic quote on her official Instagram account. The short, blunt message read: "silence is better than bullshit."

Aquino, while not mentioning any name, also added the caption: "And that says it all..."

Aquino never directly addressed the issue on why the two decided to end the relationship.

Neither Aquino nor Bautista has also spoken on whether there is truth to reports that the actor-politician was still romantically involved with another woman when he started dating the TV host.

Emotional Jane Oineza when she apologized to Kathryn Bernardo

"Pinoy Big Brother" celebrity housemate Jane Oineza turned emotional when she faced Kathryn Bernardo, her former co-star, to apologize for supposedly causing doubt as to whether the "Got to Believe" actress had undergone cosmetic surgery.

In the reality show's episode on Tuesday, Jane was made to watch a video of an earlier conversation she had with the other teen housemates about Kathryn.

Jane, in the clip shown, answered "No comment" when Loisa Andalio asked if Kathryn ever had an operation to change any facial feature.

When asked by Big Brother what she meant with her answer, Jane explained she only said it because she did not know for sure whether Kathryn underwent a surgery, but had been hearing rumors about it.

Big Brother informed Jane that Kathryn knows about the conversation.

Kathryn, who was visiting the "Pinoy Big Brother" house, was called into the confession room to clarify matters with Jane.

Jane was made to explain to Kathryn what had happened. The celebrity housemate told Kathryn she did not mean anything malicious with her answer.

Jane turned emotional as she said sorry to Kathryn.

Kathryn, who was visibly concerned, advised Jane to be careful with her choice of words when faced with a similar situation. She cautioned Jane that a "No comment" may be misinterpreted as mere hesitation to confirm what is true.

After accepting Jane's apology, Kathryn joked that she should have let her housemates press her face to see whether she had anything done.

"Pinoy Big Brother: All In" airs weeknights on Primetime Bida, and on Saturdays and Sundays as part of ABS-CBN's Yes! Weekend line-up. Afternoon updates are also aired via "Uber" on weekdays.
